It has nearly the same content of linalool as Lavender but missing most of its linalyl acetate which gives Lavender much of its sweet floral aroma. Instead, Lavender Spike has more 1,8 cineole and other components that make it an even more powerful cleanser, antiseptic, antibacterial, and antiviral oil. Lavender Spike is beneficial for minor injuries, acne, hair care and dandruff and has expectorant qualities which makes it a good choice during respiratory infections. -Lavender Spike is a great oil for soap making for its cleansing power and scent plus it blends very well with other essential oils popular in soap making such as Lavandin, Lemon, Sage, Pine & Rosemary. -Lavender Spike also is useful in rubs to treat muscular pains and considered a better insect repellent than true Lavender. -Note: Most essential oils cannot be taken internally, but even when they can, essential oils are highly concentrated and require dilution, special training and caution that Aroma & More does not yet provide.
